Air pollution leads to more incapacity for work and increases the need for medical care

A new study by the National Alliance of Independent Health Insurance Funds in collaboration with KU Leuven shows how Belgians are getting sick of air pollution today. When air pollution peaks, chronic patients go to the doctor more quickly. In addition, air pollution appears to contribute to the fact that people slide into disability due to mental problems.
