State of play of the links between environment and health in the Brussels-Capital Region

On 31 May 2021, the Brussels-Capital Health and Social Observatory organized a scientific lunch webinar where Professor Catherine Bouland presented the results of the study commissioned by the Observatory and recently published: "State of play of the links between environment and health in the Brussels-Capital Region”.

This study was carried out by the Centre de Recherche Santé Environnementale et Santé au Travail of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. It provides a global overview for the Brussels region of the interrelationships between the different types of pollution in Brussels and its impact on health and future challenges for the Region. The report focuses on air pollution, environmental noise, access to and use of green spaces and physical activity in the city.
